Much has changed in society since Bergenstråhle was founded 90 years ago. From a Swedish perspective, we have experienced what could be described as a social and economic transformation. Today, Sweden is one of the world’s wealthiest countries, with Swedish innovation as the engine leading the way during this journey. Looking ahead, it is clear that innovation and development will remain central — if not even more so — for companies striving to make a difference.

At Bergenstråhle, we take this responsibility seriously. We understand that managing intellectual assets—comprising patents, designs, trade secrets, and more, which account for the majority of a company’s value—can feel overwhelming. But it shouldn’t be. We know that for companies to succeed, they must have access to clear, straightforward information, enabling them to make the right decisions and develop their intellectual assets with a strategic, long-term, and economic perspective.

Over the past 15 years, we’ve witnessed a revolution in how services are consumed. Industries such as music, food, IT, and financial services have fundamentally transformed their delivery models. Unfortunately, the IP industry lags significantly behind. I am convinced that our clients also want—and need—to see the same accessibility and simplicity in IP management.

In recent years, Bergenstråhle has progressively evolved its delivery model. Today, we work with client teams, where customers gain access to our entire pool of expertise. This is essential because intellectual assets often affect multiple aspects of a company’s ecosystem, processes, and financial resources. When managed correctly, we help shift the client’s mindset from merely “protecting” their assets to viewing them as a central component of growth, value creation, and profitability.

But we are not stopping there. Soon, we will launch a customer portal where clients can access their entire IP portfolio—a platform that allows them to create and develop their assets on demand. Combined with expert guidance, this will significantly support our clients on their journey. IP should be accessible. IP should foster innovation. IP builds value and profitability.

Against this backdrop, it’s only natural for us to now introduce a new visual identity. It’s time for us to signal our position in a way that resonates with our customers and employees alike. We have infused our brand with energy that both honors 90 years of experience and simultaneously propels us forward with innovation, expertise, and accessibility—all wrapped in a delivery model that truly makes a difference.

Being the CEO of Bergenstråhle is a privilege. Every day, I am surrounded by incredible colleagues who continuously strive to make a difference for our clients. We take our responsibility seriously to ensure that innovation and creativity will remain the driving forces behind societal progress for the next 90 years. We do this by fostering understanding, accessibility, and services that empower our clients to focus on what they do best—innovation, development, and profitable business.
